Fond Du Lac

Has nothing to do with fondue...

Phoebe, a friend from high school that I hadn't seen in 6 years but fortunately have kept in touch with, is in Appleton for the summer [she lives in Oregon (the state, you Wisconsin people)]. We met in Fond Du Lac--the 1/2 way point. It was so great to see her again and meet her 4 kids, who line up nicely in age with my 4 rug rats. They took awhile to warm up to each other but eventually they were playing together. We went for a ride on a mini-train. The older kids rode The Whip. The moms and younger kids rode the carousel. We walked to and up a light house. Then we ate a artery clogging lunch at Hardees. The curly fries were delicious. I tried to not think about how dirty the ball pit was that the kids played in.
