Natalie's trying to not look terrified riding the bike:
Megan pulled it off a little better:
Karen enjoyed the moon walk:
And she makes a darling astronaut:
The girls had to put all these funny clothes on to go down the slide (because of static electricity?):
That night after a yummy BBQ, we made s'mores. Isaac has started doing random, hilarious poses every time I take his picture:
We ran out of marshmallows so Hannah decided to eat Megan:
On Monday, Christian and Jonathan stocked up on water guns and orchestrated a water fight with the kids. It was a fantastic idea, yet just about every kid ended up in tears at some point. It was pretty amusing. In the end everyone was wet and everyone had a fun time.
Karen taking a break on the swing:
Here's that goofy pose again:
Go Robyn! (just don't get my camera wet):
And Christian:
And Jonathan (they showed no mercy, yet no mercy was shown to them either):
Robyn and I tried to sneak away to Lowe's to look at tile samples (for her master bath and my kitchen backsplash), but somehow we ended up with 4 kids. They were actually pretty good--they entertained themselves with no injuries to themselves or mishaps with any items in the store. And Robyn and I got some cool samples (possibly for some future posts on our blogs--my guess is that hers will come sooner :))
We watched fireworks from their driveway. It was nice to not have to go anywhere or wait in traffic once the show was over.
Isaac is kindly plugging Jonathan's ears for him. Isaac got a sliver while we were outside watching fireworks and taking it out was as traumatizing as his stitches (for him and us).
We left on Tuesday around lunchtime and stopped at Culvers first!! We love that place! We got stuffed on butterburgers, cheese curds, chicken fingers, corn dog, fries, soda and of course, the frozen custard.
