Karen turned 4 yesterday! She opened her presents in the morning--a puzzle and a Littlest Pet Shop Clubhouse. Her grandparents and Aunt Nancy sent cards and cash--we'll take a trip to the toy store for her to spend her loot. I'm sure I can't talk her into investing it in the stock market. Her birthday party is on Saturday. Karen is a funny kid. She likes to wear her "gymnastics suit" everyday, watch qubo, play Webkinz, read Olivia and Pigeon books, go places (mommy, will you take me somewhere?), play with her toys and do puzzles. She's so excited to start school "after we go to Utah". She wakes up early, often during the 5 am hour and we have her trained to go downstairs and check in with the babysitter...the TV. She eats all day long then never seems to be hungry for dinner. Unless we're having bacon. She's become quite cooperative with our family scripture study and family prayers--part of what helps is she likes her stuffed animals to help read. She has a funny little voice that she uses. The stuffed frog or horse even say the prayer sometimes. We take what we can get. Natalie and Megan are a little disappointed that she's 4 now because now Karen's not a "giant 3-year-old". She's very tall for her age...taller than many 5-year-olds. We love you Karen Michelle....have a great year!Tuesday, March 3, 2009

It's *almost* as cool to be a very tall 4-year-old as it is to be a giant 3-year-old, right?
