Diary of a Trip, Days 1-3

Day 1 was an uneventful trip in the car. It took us about 9.5 hours to get to Adam and Jennie's house in Rutland, Massachusetts (near Worcester, about an hour west of Boston). The kids did so well in the car and we only had to make a couple of stops. Natalie, Joshua, Megan and Jacob had a joyful reunion. They love each other so much--it's so sweet. Karen & Andrew and Isaac & Sammy warmed up to each other on the trip. In the car, Isaac kept asking where we were going and I told him we were going to Sam's house to play with GeoTrax. Isaac was in GeoTrax heaven all week long.

Day 2 was Sunday. Nothing too eventful this day...

Day 3 started with a Dunkin' Donut run. I was amazed at the number of Dunkin' Donut shops we saw (and Priuses). We took the kids to a park. It wasn't a huge hit. The 3 youngest boys had a blast but most of the other kids cried or complained at some point. Karen thought she pinched her hand on something on the playground but it turned out to have been an insect bite. Her hand was swollen for a few days and is just now getting back to normal.
