Natalie turned 12 and is in 6th grade. She is thrilled to be in Young
Women at church (and we are thrilled that she can babysit now). She plays flute
in the school band and is also taking piano and violin lessons. She took tennis
lessons in the summer. A highlight for her this year was getting up on a
wake-board during our vacation to Bear
Lake (Utah ).
Megan turns 10 on Christmas and is in 4th grade. She takes piano and
drawing lessons and also took summer tennis lessons. She played spring and fall
soccer. In her spare time, she loves to draw, read and play with Legos. She’s
currently engrossed in the Harry Potter series. She was also excited to get up
on a wake board at Bear
Lake .
Karen is 6 and in 1st grade. She loves school and has learned to read.
She played tennis in the summer and soccer in the fall. She learned to swim
independently which was a huge milestone after months of lessons (and fear).
She just started Taekwondo and will be testing for her orange belt soon. She
still loves horses and her favorite part of summer vacation was horseback
riding.
Isaac is 4 and is in preschool. He played soccer in the fall. He loved
playing goalie, but otherwise preferred to sit on mom’s lap during the games.
He enjoys spending time with mom: story time, play group, swim lessons, etc. He
loves to play with Legos. He keeps us entertained with his funny faces and
things he says.
DeAnn stays busy trying to keep the house clean and driving the kids
everywhere. She traveled to New
Orleans to visit her sister and had a great time
seeing the sights and eating all the fabulous food.
Jonathan started a new job (again!) in October with Rockwell Automation
in Milwaukee , Wisconsin . We are staying put for now, but
are planning to relocate in the summer of 2012 (our 7th move in 8 years). He now
travels regularly to China , Switzerland and Mexico .
