'Tis the Season...

...for recitals.

First up was Natalie's band concert. Short and sweet. She plays the flute and is doing well. She really wanted to switch to bassoon. But the school didn't have one (the 7th grader got it) and she would have had to take private lessons (on top of her piano and violin lessons). So I'm happy to have her stick with the flute. She also played in the primary program at church--Jonathan played the cello and Natalie played the flute for Love is Spoken Here. It was lovely. She also played in a piano recital at the community arts center.
Natalie's in the pink shirt way far away if you can find her
Next up was Isaac's preschool Holiday Program. Again short and sweet. It was really cute.

Megan played in a piano recital. Megan was really nervous but ended up playing her pieces very well. I was happy for her (and proud!).
Jonathan and I performed O Holy Night/Silent Night on the piano and cello at a stake Christmas program in Kirtland and in our sacrament meeting. It was our 5th and 6th performances together since we've moved here. We love it!

Karen is about to start piano lessons, but her performance this season was her karate testing. She did so great and is now an orange belt! The smile on her face after she sat back down was priceless. Bring on the yellow belt!
